The kids are back in school, yippee! This is great but my 2 1/2 year old doesn't want to be by herself at all now and she thinks that the house is too quite. Hopefully she will adjust quickly so I can get caught up on many things.
This weeks DCBD challenge is a color challenge. As soon as I saw the colors I knew that I wanted to use a tulip image. I love when I find alternate ways to use something. I had left my paper piercing template out on my desk after piercing the chocolate chip piece and somehow I managed to get a slight impression on a piece of computer paper and the light bulb went off. I took my empressor and used the plastic template like a classy brass template and love the results. I then just masked the edges and stamped in the recessed part. To create the coloring on the tulips I first inked up the flower with regal rose and then I took my rose red marker and highlighted/colored all of the whimsy lines and dots. I really like the way it turned out.
