Let it Snow in July

I finally sat down and was able to acomplish some stamping. This card was for a swap that I am in with a Christmas in July theme. I love the non traditional christmas colors in the new stampin' up! simply scrapping kit for christmas and it became my color inspiration. This was a simple card and I love the way that it turned out. Many times I check out other peoples' designs and copy them, tweaking them slightly to make it mine. With this card I did not look at any for inspiration, I came up with it on my own. It has been a long time since I have had the time and mental capacity to do it. The supplies I used were all Stampin' Up!. I had to improvise a little since I wanted to use wasabit and we dont have a craft wasabi and I didnt like the way that it stamped on the pink so I substituted green galore and it was pretty close to wasabi on the pink.

Stamps: Big on Christmas and Big Pieces

Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi, and Shimmery White

Ink: Craft White, Craft Real Red, Craft Green Galore, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink

Markers: Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black

Blender pen and wasabi refll

Aqua Painter and Bordering Blue (shading on snow man)

Black Gingham Ribbon and a stampin Sponge were also used

P.S. It is really hard to get a good picture with the shimmery cardstock in my poorly lit stamp room

I did it!

I finally did it, I started my own blog today. I am trying to find more ways to encourage me to stamp on a regular basis. Hopefully this will help me out. I sure do miss the soft thud of the rubber hitting the paper.Pin It Now!
