Wow, has it really been a whole week since I have posted here. I really don’t know where all of my time goes. I have had some fun stamping a few nights this week. I guess that is the one benefit of having a husband that works late at night, after the kids are in bed and the chores are done I don't have to feel guilty about stamping! This week over on the Diva Coffee Break Design Blog we have a great sketch challenge for you.
I really liked the simplicity of this sketch. There were many possibilities but I really liked the first card that I sat down and cranked out.
I really like this color combo of Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Crumb Cake. I cannot get over how much I love Cherry Cobbler. I am not a pink and red girl, I love my greens (Kiwi Kiss, I am still morning your loss) but Cherry Cobbler has stolen a chunk of my heart. I have a couple of people I should be sending some get well cards for so I whipped a couple of these up in no time flat. You really can’t tell from this shot that the embossed layer has the Bella Toile BG stamped on it in Crumb Cake. (I am having so much fun with this embossing folder!) It just looks a little shadowy, I had a hard time capturing the stamping on the embossed layer. Here is a close up that captures the detail a little better.
It adds a nice subtle touch to the background. The flower is also stamped with the same stamp in Cherry Cobbler. The ric-rac looking ribbon was created using the scalloped edge punch.
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Bella Toile Background Stamp
Ink: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: So Saffron, Crumb Cake, and Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Stampin Dimensionals
Tools: Fancy Flower Punch, 3/4 Circle Punch, 3/16 Corner Rounder Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Big Shot, Lattice Square Embossing Folder
Pin It Now!

I also love what you did in that card. You have picked the right material to make your card outstanding. That is one perfect card.
