Ribbons Anonymous

I love ribbon, especially Stampin’ Up ribbon.  I had a large ribbon collection even before I started using it for cards and crafts.  I mostly just used it to tie a bow around a ponytail or to decorate a package.  Now I use it all over the place.  I have been learning how to make the “boutique bows”, but my oldest is in a headband phase all of the sudden.  So, of course I had to learn how to make some with ribbon.  I found some instructions, printed them off and worked on it in the car while waiting at school for the kids.  The Stampin’ Up! ribbon was so wonderful for this project because the ribbon is wonderful quality and beautiful coordinating colors.  Here is what I made, isn't it fun?

hb1hb2  Now it is not perfect, I had some difficulties in the beginning that I could not overcome where I had some puckering of the ribbon, but it will be tucked behind the ear so no one will know!  When Kaitlyn saw it completed and saw me taking pictures of it while she was getting ready for bed she was so excited and wanted to try it on and take a picture with it.

Now the best part is that she knows what she wants to wear tomorrow already so that she can wear the headband!  No before school outfit conundrums!  I hope to get some actual stamping time in soon.

Supplies:  Certainly Celery and Regal Rose wide grosgrain ribbon and a plastic headband.

Pin It Now!

way cute! Poor little sunburned face though! Garrett keeps getting sunburned too because the sunscreen does not last the whole day of school.

Gorgeous idea and execution (after all if everyone looked behind the ears little boys wouldn't weigh so much from all the extra dirt rignt - lol!

Please be a dear and share where you found the directions (if you know that is - this being the internet and all:D)

The lovely picture of Kaitlyn though had me laughing. Not at Kaitlyn but at the water mark prominently displayed across her forehead....Created by KB was absolutely perfect and sweet...what cracked me up was the copyright statement! Her face now belongs to Stampin Up???? I know you are a dedicated demo but hey....hee,hee,hee.....

Hugs and blessings - Jean

I love those, I made two a little while ago and am looking for some cute, inexpensive ribbon to do it again. Even made two for Lexie. They're pretty easy too!
