SASS with a KISS

The challenge for this week on the LNS group was a Stamp A Stack Style card or project with the theme of Keep It Simple Stamper.  I created two simple but fun cards for this challenge that I plan on using in my next class.  A few years ago I had bought several packs of the notecards and envelopes from Stampin’ Up! and last year Kaitlyn used the notecards to make Valentine’s for her class but she didn't want to put them in the envelope but wanted to close them with a sticker instead so I have quite a few of the envelopes left with out cards to go with them.  They fit a card that is 3.5 x 5 inches, so they are smaller than your typical card and I keep forgetting about them.  So these two cards were made with that size in mind.

The first is a simple One Sheet Wonder type of card created with the Fifth Ave Floral stamp set. I love this stamp set because you can color it in but the images also stand on their own even though they are line art!

The second card showcases our tools and to use the catalog as a tool too!  It is a case of the project on page 200 of the catalog.  I changed the colors and added a little more to it but I want to show them that it is more than a catalog and should really be used as an idea book.

Kirsten, these cards may fit into the KISS category, but they really pack alot of punch! I especially love the 2nd one with all the embossing and die cuts... fabulous cards, my friend!

WOW! Those are fabulous! I love the die cuts, but I also the manhatten flowers. You may have sold me on a set I thought I'd never buy!
